I haven't been reading as much as I would like. That's for sure, lately. I have been transitioning a few things along the way in my life and as a result, my reading has been sort of placed on pause. A break is sometimes good. The break is over, though. So I was looking over at my reading challenges for 2013. I have made a lot of progress, I must stay. There is still time to make some more reading by the end of the year, too. With that being said, I wanted to say a note about 2014.
First and foremost, 2014 will be the year I commit to reading mostly the classics. I have put together a list of 100 best novel classics to read. I plan on tackling as many of them as possible, some of which I have already read.
- The Great Gatsby
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- The Lord of the Rings
- Jane Eyre
- Pride and Prejudice
- Wuthering Heights
- Of Mice and Men
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
- The Hobbit
- Their Eyes Were Watching God
- Things Fall Apart
The next goal for 2014 is to actually tackle the books I set out for my GoodReads group to read, both NonFiction Reading Group and the Global Reading Selection Group. We have already chosen the book selections for January 2014. Join in! Read with us, and help us select the books to read.
